MUTE TRIES EVERYTHING - AT STARBUCKS [PART 13]

I'm getting used to review Starbucks' food & drinks from home. I don't know when will this social distancing end, some of Starbucks' outlets are still not allowing customers to dine in though. 

So these were what I ordered at Starbucks this weekend:

Actually most of them are my basic non-coffee order when I'm at Starbucks. Since I'm not a daily coffee drinker so sometimes I don't really in the need to order coffee, so I just buy juices or cookies and waffle. 

VANILLA SWEET CREAM COLD BREW (tall - IDR 47K)

Okay so continuing my last post about Starbucks' cold brew this time I tried the one with vanilla sweet cream. The combination of vanilla richness and strong coffee into one cup. We can't underestimate Starbucks' cold brew they seriously offers us a good taste of coffee. 

I love how the vanilla cream didn't too syrupy and had a natural sweetness, I even added only a little pinch of sugar. I amaze how both coffee and vanilla taste didn't dominate to each other cause both of the taste were strong. Good recommendation for a cold brew lover.

BERRI APPLE & ORANGE JUICE (IDR 20K each)

Probably two of my most ordered drinks from Starbucks. Starbucks' also offers us healthy pack menus like yoghurt or bottled fresh juices and I love all of them. Both of them were refreshing and 100% steamed. Both apple & orange juices were made organically from fresh fruit, so don't misunderstood that it wasn't made from concentrate. 

Since it made up from fresh fruit so both of them were naturally sour. I could taste the natural sweetness as well that balance the fruity sour. It's very healthy to consume everyday to rehydrate your day. 

CARAMEL & CHOCOLATE STROOPWAFEL (IDR 22K each)

Stroopwafel is a basic Dutch cookie with waffle shaped and very thin but doughy. 2 waffle layers stacked up with rich caramel syrup filling in between, seriously an extreme delicious snacks. 

The difference between Caramel & Chocolate Stroopwafel was the half chocolate cover on it. Caramel is an original one meanwhile Chocolate Stroopwafel is the original with half chocolate coat covering both side of the waffle. 

I think the original one was too sweet so I prefer the one with chocolate cover, cause the chocolate coat was quite dark and bitter or it balanced the caramel sweetness. I love how chewy this waffle was in my mouth and when the caramel melted was heavenly delicious. Better served with Espresso drink. 

Starbucks is certainly has the best caramel ingredients on every menu and I will always coming back for more !

Meet The Couple: Andry & Yoana

This is my very first time featuring someone else on my blog and I am so excited writing it! Meet one of my best friend YOANA and her couple, ANDRY. They just celebrated their first year anniversary together and would like to share to us all about their relationship, including their funny stories and tips on how to keeping up the good relationship. Let's catch up something with this happy couple!

HOW DID THEY MEET

TINDER! lol. A friend of Yoan (and mine too), Syandi who got a chance to met her soulmate from Tinder, so she told Yoan to try using Tinder as well. At the first time Yoan wasn't really interested in, she downloaded at the first time and deleted it after because she thought that it's useless. Until the second time she tried and in less than a week she matched with Andry. 

Apparently they both had quite the same circle of friends so it's easy for them to get connected to each other. But many times Yoan rejected Andry's invitation to meet him up, until when she got sick Andry drove himself to have meal in a restaurant not really far from Yoan's home. She couldn't rejected the question anymore, then they finally met!

HARD TIMES IN THEIR RELATIONSHIP

They're almost separated once because of mindset differences. It's hard for them at the first time to unite their point of view together moreover when they decided to prepare their marriage life in the future. Somehow Yoan tried to ensure Andry about her condition and business that her working on yet Andry didn't feel matter about it but Yoan's insecurity about her own sometimes could create a fight. It happens almost all the time. 

HOW THEY OVERCOME THE PROBLEM & WHO MOST OFTEN SAY SORRY FIRST

Andry most of the time! haha. Since they committed at the beginning of their relationship that anytime they have problem it has to be resolved directly and they are not allowed to debate about it again. There's no need to keep problem dragged on cause it can lead to another bigger problem. 

Another way to overcome their problem is to have quality time together....with food hahaha. Cause they are a food hunter so most of their quality time spent eating good food and it can create a better mood for them to solve the problem. 

THEIR UNFORGETTABLY FUNNY STORY

They had a lot! But two moments that they couldn't stop laughing about is when the first time Andry tried to kiss Yoan. Right when the exact momentum Andry wanted to kiss her, she told him that her mom was approaching, suddenly Andry started to panic and felt awkward. 

Another story is when Andry was quietly playing with Nathan (Yoan's beloved teddy). He played and cuddled Nathan alone at her room. Yoan quietly entered the room and softly giggled looking at Andry until he turned around and shocked, he straightly thrown away Nathan from his arms LOL. 

THEY EVEN HAD HORROR STORY

FYI, we can say that somehow Yoan is able to feel the presence of ghost and probably it's hard for Andry cause he's scared of ghost. It happened at Taman Anggrek Mall when Andry picked Yoan up after work. While they both were walking on the parking area, she saw something really scary across them and shockingly Andry saw it too. They both surprised and wondered how come Andry saw that terrifying view as well. 

TIPS TO KEEP THEIR RELATIONSHIP HEALTHY

1. Set the rule of game at the beginning of your relationship cause it prevents uncontrolled quarrel

2. Before you start everything we have to accept her/his flaws

3. Somehow period of time in knowing someone is not a guarantee on how relationship makes it or not. We need to know ourself first before we start to care about other people, by then even when we're together with the person we just knew, it doesn't matter at all. 

4. Don't listen to people's judgement about who you both are

5. It's good to communicate clearly about each other's financial condition especially if she/he is the person you're about to marry and grow old with

6. Keep up the good communication in everything

7. When it comes to the big family, make sure you both are strong and patient enough to face any opinion differences

I'm glad they found each other because I know Yoan's story in finding love for almost eight years and Andry needed to be alone for ten years for finally got Yoan!

PAT BING SOO - The Flavor Bliss, Alam Sutera

Finally we're out dining while this pandemic. A bit nervous I admit about the virus spreading but things are almost going better out here. Restaurants are finally open with half of capacity only, malls are re-operating with lots of interesting deals! 

I planned to eat out last weekend look for good dessert place after I had lunch at home, so we decided to go to Pat Bing Soo - The Flavor Bliss, Alam Sutera. Pat Bing Soo is a famous Korean dessert house with Bingsu (red beans shaved ice) as their signature. 

They're not fully open yet, still focusing on online order and delivery. So their dine in service was placed on Seorae Korean Grill right next to it, both Seorae and Pat Bing Soo are on one business group so it's common to have two brands in one place. 

Let's take a look to what I ordered: 

TTEOKBOKKI (IDR 53K)

This Korean dish is insanely popular in Indonesia, almost all of Korean Resto has this popular menu. Tteokbokki is a Korean comfort food made from rice cake noodles. Pat Bing Soo served Tteokbokki with fish cake and scallions seasoned with spicy gochujang (red chilli paste), available served with cheese also but I preferred the original one.

Pat Bing Soo's tteokbokki was very flavourful, it's thick sauce combination of sour, sweetness and a slight savoury were perfect. Their rice cake texture was not really firm and a bit mushy.

JAMSIL PATBINGSOO (IDR 45K)

Jamsil Patbingsoo is bingsu which combine almond, choco stick, Oreo, red beans (pat) and vanilla ice cream. This is the most common and comforting taste, mixture of chocolate and vanilla. I tried three different kinds of Bingsoo and most of my comments are almost the same so I'll conclude all of them later. 

SPICY POPCORN CHICKEN (IDR 42K)

I always love Korean bite sized snacks and popcorn chicken is one of my most craving! Their popcorn chicken served with rice cakes pour with sweet spicy sauce. They have two seasonings, spicy and honey. Actually I ordered the spicy one but when I ate it I didn't taste any spicy flavour at all LOL. It completely sweet and rich of honey. I think they misled my order, but that's okay anyway.

Overall I love their crunchy popcorn coated with irresistibly rich sauce. It's a good decision order this one but I think spicy version is better I believe. 

GANGNAM PATBINGSOO (IDR 45K)

Since I'm an extreme caramel lover so this is my favourite! It consisted of popcorn (which I believe a caramel popcorn also), cornflakes, pat, caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream. Sweetness overload in one bowl, like literally. 

HOEGI PATBINGSOO (IDR 45K)

It's their basic bingsoo with fruits, jelly, pat and ogura ice cream. It's good for those who not really looking for sweet bingsoo. They have watermelon, mango and grapes as their toppings. 

Overall all of their bingsoo were great even though the looks were less exciting than whats taken on the menu book. Ogura ice cream was better than their vanilla ice cream. They need to shave the ice a little softer to create more perfect taste. I love it how they put toppings inside the ice layers so it's so rich of toppings but I wish they can add more pat.

3. Jamsil Patbingsoo

Anyway it's worth the price. Really eats like Korean do!
