The Summer Dress

Summer is near! And I am obsessed with my new dress I got from WHITE MODE. I actually already worn it on my previous post when I travelled to Batam. This time I wore it differently. Not too much talking, the picture says it all. 

I wore the dress with cute black open toe heels. It is from Charles & Keith. 

I love the color and the pattern.

Reminiscing AMANDA BYNES [PART 1]

One day I checked on my Youtube and randomly found a very first interview of AMANDA BYNES after 4 years got off from the spotlight. Since then I started to miss watching her old movies and series. For me, she was magnificent and genuinely funny. I always fully entertained watching all of her movies. I don’t want to debate about what has happened to her on the past 4 years and her controversy because that’s not my interest. I just want to do a little flash back about who she is and how her talent jollied me.

Amanda Laura Bynes, she is the youngest daughter born from parents Richard and Lynn Bynes. Her parents worked as a doctor and assistant at one of dental clinic. She’s got one brother named Tommy Bynes whose age 10 years older and one older sister, Jillian, she’s also study acting. Her acting talent was obtained from her father who also practiced stand up comedy. She lived with a Catholic and Jewish family, made it picked her choice to follow her mother as a Jewish. Amanda has time to move to an apartment in Hollywood with her dog Midge, but it didn’t took her too long, she moved back to her family’s home

When she was 12, Amanda already had her own live action comedy called “The Amanda Show”. This show was successful in many countries such as USA, Australia, Netherlands, UK and Canada. That show was also ever become the most popular variety program on North America through 1999 – 2002. 

The Amanda Show (1999 - 2002)

I remember watched The Amanda Show, it’s really funny and unusual. Especially whenever she played as Judge Trudy I would laugh the hell out of my lungs. The Girl’s Room scene was always be the funniest, the school's girls squad consisted of four young students led by Amanda who often spent their time at rest room and made a joke to random stuffs. Even sometimes this show played the joke too far but it’s still entertaining. 

 

After gained succeed from The Amanda Show, she got a main role as Holly Tyler at What I Like About You series and quited the show. Since then her position on that show replaced by Drake Bell and Josh Peck. 

 

What I Like About You (2002 - 2006)

Recently I rewatched WHAT I LIKE ABOUT YOU, I watched all of the season. I love it so much. This series is about Holly Tyler (Amanda Bynes) who had to move to her sister’s apartment, Valerie (Jennie Garth) since their father was transferred to Japan for work. Valerie must deal with quiet immature, funny and loud sister by her own meanwhile they actually had so many opposite personalities. I love both Bynes and Garth in this series, they really had that sister chemistry. Completed by many great supporting character like Gary (which undoubtedly funny, he held a record for the most character who making me laugh), Holly’s best friend Tina, Vince, Lauren and so many more. Their family and love life twist brilliantly got me become soft and sentimental at the same time. Their comedy came really natural brought with a great spontaneous script. 

Anyway, I’m still looking for her great movies and series to watch. I found couple of them but I haven’t watched it yet. Soon after I watch it I will share it again on my next part of this post. SEE YOU !

Red, Batik and Bold

Batik become one of the largest fashion item in the entire world. As an INDONESIAN, I don't want to miss a chance to proudly wear my batik on a casual occasion. I love the pattern and the red color it makes the dress looks really bold yet casual. 

Even Batik is identical with something formal and serious but this dress proves the other way around. It is fun and fresh in any way. 

I got this Batik dress from SUPER ETHNIC and white shoes are from H&M. As mentioned before, that white bag I got it from my best friend as a birthday present. All of the items fit together with my red Batik dress. 

Actually I can also wear it with my yellow shoes but white is always better.
