Batam City Tour [Day 1]

On the beginning of November I spent my weekend with my family to visit Batam city. Batam is famous with its seafood so check out my story when traveling to Batam and visited these beautiful places.

After traveled for about 1 hours 45 minutes flight, finally I landed on Hang Nadim International Airport. We straightly went to our Hotel to check in, unpacked some stuffs and took a brief rest. We stayed at Harmoni One Hotel & Convention Centre, it was big four stars Hotel with complete and nice facility. Harmoni One Hotel was located on the city center so it's easy for us to go to many places.

At Harmoni One Hotel

After took a short rest at the hotel, we went to Nagoya, there were so many shopping centers there. We spent for about two hours there to look around. Nagoya Hill was one of the place that we hit, it's basically similar to most of the malls in Jakarta.

Local people there said that the absolute must buy item from Batam is CHOCOLATE! Fortunately there were so many chocolate stores near Nagoya, some people also said that you could find it near hotel or malls with typical chocolate stacks inside their stores. Plenty kinds of chocolate such as Camior, Toblerone and other imported chocolate available there, even if you need the big one. The price was also reasonable.

I am a big fan of chocolate. I shopped so many imported chocolate, even the one that I can get on Jakarta but in Batam the price was far cheaper. Here's some of the chocolate and other stuffs that I shopped.

I shopped that many and only spent IDR 360K!

Batam is all about seafood destination. We stopped by to one place to have dinner after excitedly explore Nagoya, which is Windsor Foodcourt, also located at Nagoya. We only took a little walk from Nagoya Hill to reach Windsor Foodcourt. Here, you could have dinner under the dim stars.

I really like Kapis Stim, a kind of scallop but had a really big size.

Compared to other seafood resto in Batam (I'll let you know on my next post), Windsor Foodcourt actually was the most expensive resto that we visit so far in Batam. But I wasn't disappointed with it's tastiness, it's still worth the price.

KAPIS STIM. This was so nice, believe me!

We spent the rest of our night there and directly went to hotel after that. I'll tell you another day we enjoyed in Batam on my next post. See ya!
