throwback playlist, 23 June 2020

It's good to know how music can be beautifully everlasting. I love listening to old songs cause it reminds me a lot with good or even bad times in the past, and thinking how far I've been through - I ended up smiling. So here's a list of songs that I recently listened to be a throwing back mood, and I also add some shareable lyric artworks powered by @lyric4everyday freely. 

1. BOYZ II MEN - JUST MY IMAGINATON (RUNNING AWAY WITH ME)

Year released: 2007 

Two words to explain this song are beautiful and heartwarming. This song is actually about a boy who admiring a beautiful girl who don't even recognise him. Every day he imagines about this girl would like to run away with him, marry and build a cute little family with him. Even though this girl already has a spouse on her side, the admirer keeps dreaming to marry this girl. I enjoy his honest expression about how in love he is. 

2. BON JOVI - LIVIN' ON A PRAYER

 

Year released: 1986

Bon Jovi is a legend in making powerful songs. After Always, this song amazed me again by the meaningful lyrics. This rock song explains about the struggle of one couple named Gina and Tommy living their hard life. Tommy used to work on the docks but not anymore due to union's strike and he managed to sell his most precious guitar to live. Meanwhile Gina works at a restaurant, paying almost both of their bills. This is a song about hope, how Gina tells Tommy to be strong and keep holding on cause the better days might come. 

3. AIR SUPPLY - MAKING LOVE OUT OF NOTHING AT ALL

Year released: 1983

I love classic ballad song, I like it a lot! Also Air Supply is a phenomenal band, they sang a lot of good songs. Based on my personal interpretation, this song tells us about a person who can do anything, who feel extremely powerful. In this life there's nothing he can't conquer, there's nothing he can't accomplish even he can make any women love him. But there's only one woman in his life he can't leave behind, he's deeply in love with this lady whose heart is pure and able to love this man out of nothing. 

4. T-MAX - PARADISE

Year released: 2009

Korean entertainment has been very famous worldwide, thanks to K-POP and Korean Drama. Paradise is an original soundtrack of famous Korean Drama, Boys Over Flower. One of T-max's member also took role on this drama. 

5. NICKI MINAJ - RIGHT THRU ME

Year released: 2010

What can I say when I heard Nicki's love song is full of emotion. I think that this song's about a stubborn and unstable girl who felt complicated about her boy. He understands her too deep and she confused whether she likes it or not. During her confusion, she tortures her boy and feels regret right after. However, the boy stays true and still pour her with genuine love. 

6. ADELE - ROLLING IN THE DEEP

Year released: 2010

Powerful yet vulnerable. No one question Adele's ability to write a broken heart song. This big hit on 2010 tells us about a broken hearted girl whom being left by her ex. He left her bringing all of their past story and playing victim.

7. ROBIN MCAULEY - TEACH ME HOW TO DREAM 

Year released: 1991

I have many old song playlist if you guys wonder, cause I'm in love with 80's - 90's music. One of them is Robin McAuley's Teach Me How To Dream. It explains how one lady can lead a man into his brighter life.  He has a flat black and white life before he met her. Since then, his life is full of imaginary story about the future. 

8. SHAKIRA - LOCA (FEAT. EL CATA)

Year released: 2010

It has English and Spanish version, I prefer the Spanish one. This song embrace Shakira's wild side in having fun with a man. Her voice is so sexy in this song.

9. MULAN JAMEELA - CINTA MATI 2 (FEAT. MITA)

Year released: 2009

I don't want to forget my own country's music when I talk about throwback songs. Pop & rock music in Indonesia emerged in early 00's leaving many masterpieces. Mulan's catchy voice is perfectly match with this girly rock music. This song teaches us to keep our loved ones very good unless someone else will grab it from your hand and replace you. 

10. UNGU - DISINI UNTUKMU

Year released: 2007

This song is an original soundtrack of Coklat Stroberi movie. Ungu is Indonesian band with huge fanbase, even though they're not actively on stage again now, but they have a lot of memorable songs. One of them is Disini Untukmu, the story about a person who wonders if one day he can tell his feeling to the one he loves. He also wonders if this woman is loving him back or not. 

11. MOONY - I DON'T KNOW WHY (VIALE, DJ ROSS NEW RADIO MIX)

Year released: 2008

I don't know guys, this song is very mysterious to me. Cause I can't find Moony's social media account everywhere and after this song became a big hit on early 2010, she never had another famous song again. If you have any further information about the singer please do tell us here. This song is about a delusional human being who never cherish her/his beautiful life and keep complaining about how hard life is. I remembered how famous this song when I was in college and almost every club put thing song on their playlist. 

12. GEISHA - JIKA CINTA DIA

Year released: 2009

Last but not least, I have another music from my country again. I love almost all of Geisha's song and Geisha's vocalist has a very beautiful voice. Jika Cinta Dia is about a girl who feels very stupid to her spouse who keep cheating on her. She says that if you love another woman please leave me instead and go with her rather than you keep hurting me over and over again.

New Menu!! KFC Double Down Special with Spicy Lime Sauce

A new trending now here is this extraordinary sandwich from KFC, it's DOUBLE DOWN. KFC's Double Down is basically a sandwich with two pieces of chicken fillet substituting the burger bun instead. So ya, the line up will be like, fried chicken fillet - hash brown - cheese - lettuce - spicy lime sauce - another fried chicken fillet. Double chicken, double tastiness, double down!

It is available at IDR 30K on a la carte or IDR 40K alongside with their combo package. Available also for takeaways / online orders in most of all KFC's outlets. 

On the actual presentation, Double Down was not as tempting as expected on the promotional picture. The size was a little bit smaller than usual burger but thicker. May be because it's a chicken fillet "bun" so the shape would be less symmetrical. However, my recommendation lies on their taste. 

I believe whoever eat this will taste a little bit of curry taste on it's lime sauce, it's like pepper and had a very strong sour taste. Even thought it's spicy already in average but always available to add more chilli sauce as you like. 

Don't need to ask for the taste right? Cause how can you imagine the marriage between not only one but two fried chicken fillet with hash brown and special sauce, explained enough already right. 

Even for online order, I think their fillets were remained crisp. It's less oily and had a juicy texture with generously crispy skin sensation. Their hash brown was also very soft, balancing the bun's crispiness. This is a very sinful burger :(

Usually this kind of special menu didn't always become their permanent menu. They only produce them in a seasonal period. So if you're a fast food fans, make sure you try this heart stealer food!
